Our Client, a Life Science company with a more than 150-year history and core competencies in the areas of health care and agriculture. We are looking for C-Suite Candidate for the position of HR Expert, C&B (II), ASEAN basing in Southeast Asia (SEA). This position is responsible for part of ASEAN country group (Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia & Myanmar) in collaboration with his/her peer C&B Expert in ASEAN to develop and implement the country group compensation and benefits strategy based on the global compensation and benefits philosophy, the relevant global directives, business needs and country market practices. This includes implementation, coordination and governance of all compensation and benefit policies and processes to ensure a market competitive remuneration package based on business needs for countries under his/her responsibilityIn addition, the position follows up on the country legislation as far as it is relevant for compensation and benefits
 
The job holder provides support and advice to the country organizations under his/her responsibility and HR BP’s in the area of compensation and benefits to ensure Corporate best practice is applied.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze external market developments by active involvement in relevant industry networks and by participating in compensation and benefits  surveys & benchmarking studies (e.g. by Hay, Mercer, Hewitt)
  • Develop and implement a country/ country group specific compensation and benefits approach based on the global compensation and benefits philosophy, to include a communication concept to meet local business requirements.  Taking into account local legal implications, coordination and communication
  • Govern and coordinate local bonuses / Merit Increase / STI processes with country HR organization (including HR Services and HR//BP), incl. preparation of statistics, reports and local communication
  • Manage all projects related to changing and optimising compensation and benefits
  • Act as single point of contact for global SME for Compensation & Benefits
  • Act as focal point for internal audits
  • Adjust internal compensation and benefits practices (e.g. salary bands, policies on promotion, merit increase, starting salary etc.) based on market practice/development, benchmark results and business needs
  • Support ASEAN HR organization and, if required, managers in all questions related to compensation and benefits.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners in ASEAN to provide expertise, advice and support on compensation and benefit related matters
  • Steer harmonization & lead integration of reward management across all subgroups within the ASEAN country group.
  • Where necessary, collaborate with relevant stakeholders within ASEAN in supporting compensation and benefits for CBA (collective bargaining agreement) negotiations for unionized employees
Qualifications
  • University degree or equivalent, especially with the main focus on Human Resources
  • English language fluent both in the spoken and written form (direct communication with SME for C&B, GPOs)
  • Several years of experience in compensation and benefits management and administration
  • Experience and proven track record in working across the core HR functions with specific experience in compensation and benefits field.
  • Knowledge of the country legislation regarding compensation and benefits
  • Proficiency in SAP,  Excel and other IT applications
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Communications strategy and messaging skills with the ability to build long term partnerships with internal management & staff, including the various relevant representatives of workers groups and external stakeholders
  • Sound knowledge in organizational methods and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with a strong sense of urgency and schedule adherence
  • Strategic thinking is essential as is keen attention to detail
  • Professional leadership and team player experience
